We are a community based organization. Designated by the Internal Revenue Service as s a 501(c)(3) organization, the Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier's operating budget is funded by grants, donations and fundraising activities. There are many ways individuals and organizations may support our programs or organization in general.
- Attend, Sponsor or Donate to one of our Fundraisers: We hold several events throughout the year which benefit our organization and ultimately those we serve. Experience our DIFD Power to the Purple hockey night with the Binghamton Senators, the Mini Golf Tournament, our “Men Who Cook" amateur chef competition and public tasting or one of our awareness events - there is always something happening at MHAST! Keep your eye on the events section of this website and “like” us on Facebook for updates!
- Volunteer Your Time: The Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier has many volunteer opportunities. We are always looking for compassionate people to help us with fundraising and events, assist us with administration activities within our organization, and become involved in mentoring through our Compeer Program. Check out our volunteer page to learn more about the opportunities, benefits and process of becoming a volunteer.
- Donate: While we strongly encourage the community to personally get involved with our events, we also understand that commitments may limit your ability to participate. Donations are always appreciated. Individuals may wish to donate now using the button below, or perhaps set up an employee match to assist our organization. Consider MHAST when completing your estate planning. Donations are important to us and are always spent wisely and we encourage you to review our financials at to gain a better understanding of how your contribution can be utilized in the community.
If you have a special skill, or passion and you think it would help our organization we want to hear from you!
